Reuters: Time to buy - Retail investors swoop in when stocks falter

Individual investors have been focusing on stocks such as Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) and Apple Inc (AAPL.O), as well as tech-focused and leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs), while they reduced their buying of securities related to gaming, space exploration, and cannabis themes, said Giacomo Pierantoni, Head of Data at Vanda Research. "Retail investors have continued to buy large-cap tech and ETFs, providing a cushion, but they aren't buying the dip aggressively in speculative assets," such as cryptocurrencies and hyper-growth stocks, he said.
